Cornell still has yet to release their class of 2027 acceptance rate, so I’ve used their class of 2026 one from their CDS.

Cornell, although technically chartered as a private school, has five constituent colleges that are public: the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Human Ecology, the School of Industrial and Labor Relations (com. abbr. as ILR), the SC Johnson College of Business, and the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy. Each of these constituent schools is funded by the state of New York through its SUNY program, offers in-state tuition, and allow a significant number of transfer students from NY community colleges and other CUNY or SUNY schools.
In summary, Cornell is a large private umbrella under which both private and public schools operate. For the purpose of this listing, Cornell is quasi-public.
