Georgia Tech, like UT Austin, has an auto-admit program for a specific subset of in-state high school graduates: since 2017, all Georgia high school valedictorians and salutatorians are offered admission upon applying to GT. Because of this, the school’s in-state acceptance rate— and therefore its overall acceptance rate— are inflated. Like Austin, Georgia Tech reports two acceptance rates for its class of 2027: an in-state rate of 36% and an out-of-state rate of 12%. IvyWise reports that GT’s class of 2027 had an overall admissions rate of 16%.

N.B. the transfer rate, like usual, is from the 2022-2023 CDS directly.
